There has been a significant increase in the development of food business incubation centers as entrepreneurs have created many new startup businesses due to consumer demand for more local and specialty food options.

As these centers take rise, InBIA recognizes the tremendous diversity that exists within food business incubation programs. Between food incubators, accelerators, commercial kitchens, food processing facilities, agriculture and farming facilities; the range of services to fit entrepreneurs’ needs are critical to contribute to the success of food businesses and their local/regional economies. Despite the unique facilities and services these centers offer, they all face these same seven challenges. Below are some of the most common obstacles food business incubation programs deal with daily.

The FoodBIN Conference will cover how you and your facility can overcome these challenges and build a thriving food entrepreneurial ecosystems in your community. In partnership with Rutgers Food Innovation Center, InBIA has prepared unique programming to celebrate the tremendous diversity that exists within the food incubation programs around the world, and we hope you will participate in the dialogue! All FoodBIN speakers, sponsors and exhibitors will also receive a complimentary 12-month membership to the FoodBIN Network, a global network of food incubators, accelerators and other food entrepreneurial support organizations, which will officially launch and be announced at the conference.

Who’s attending? We’re glad you asked! Some of the speakers are innovation leaders at companies like Campbell’s Soup Co., Chobani and the Specialty Food Association. They are food pioneers from world-class community kitchens, influential university programs, economic development organizations and ministries; and some speakers will be showcasing their programs and representing regions from Uganda, Canada, Australia, Nigeria and Ireland.
