JPMorgan Chase & Co. has supported the development of three playbooks focused on inclusive practices for entrepreneurship centers to better support underrepresented communities.
For immediate release
ORLANDO, FL – JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the International Business Innovation Association will release playbooks as resources which focus on the growth of specific communities and demographics of US-based entrepreneurs. These underrepresented groups include women entrepreneurs; emerging urban neighborhood-built communities; and minority entrepreneurship. Each book in the series will tackle commonly held trends and perspectives through the aggregation of best practices, enabling practitioners to serve these populations with greater success. The series is made possible by JPMorgan Chase & Co. through Small Business Forward, a five-year, $150 million initiative connecting underserved small business with the capital, targeted assistance and support networks to help them grow faster, create jobs, and strengthen local economies.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. and InBIA are extremely proud to announce the release of the first playbook in our series: Elevating Women in Entrepreneurship. Erika R. Smith and Brita Belli draw upon their combined decades of personal experience and supplement their knowledge with cutting edge research and interviews from major industry players supporting women entrepreneurs, including the Women’s Business Development Council, AccelerateHer, Springboard Enterprises, and Pipeline Angels, among others.
Elevating Women in Entrepreneurship seeks to teach entrepreneurship centers how to best recruit, select for their programs, and create access to unprecedented resources for women entrepreneurs. This playbook will specifically demonstrate community outreach techniques, how to develop a female-supportive network, solutions for work-life balance, how to fix the pipeline to encourage more women investors, and more. Practitioners will be able to read this playbook and immediately implement these strategies to best serve women entrepreneurs.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. and InBIA will be releasing the last two playbooks on revitalizing emerging economies and supporting minority entrepreneurs over the next few months to further promote tangible practices towards equity and inclusion in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
