-ICBI33-

April 13 – 17, 2019  |  Minneapolis, MN  |  Hilton Minneapolis

For more than three decades, InBIA’s International Conference on Business Incubation (ICBI) has been bringing together the people who champion entrepreneurship around the globe to form connections, share ideas, gather resources, and reinvigorate professional perspectives. As the industry has grown and changed, so has the association, with an initial membership of mostly business incubator mangers in 1985, to a current membership representing incubators, accelerators, coworking spaces, super hubs, university entrepreneurship centers, economic development centers, and more. The annual conference, ICBI, continues to be the connecting point for people helping entrepreneurs succeed, and we are looking forward to our 33rd gathering next year in Minneapolis, Minnesota!

We are currently accepting proposals from anyone who is interested in presenting a session, organizing a panel, facilitating a discussion, or being a panelist during ICBI33. ICBI has become globally recognized as a forum for collaborative sharing of innovative strategies for building high-impact entrepreneurship centers, exploring lessons learned, and tracking trends in entrepreneurial ecosystem development, and we are seeking top-notch speakers and facilitators to help us continue this reputation.

The ICBI audience members come from dozens of countries and have a range of backgrounds and experiences, so we are looking for a variety of topics and perspectives to be shared during this event. The majority of participants are practitioners in the entrepreneurial support industry, so we are looking for tangible resources, strategies, and tools they can immediately implement. Applying to present at ICBI is a great next step for people who have attended the event for multiple years and are looking to increase their engagement with the audience and the industry.

If you have expertise in entrepreneurial support and/or lessons learned that you would like to share with an audience of peers, this is your chance to become recognized as an industry thought leader. Click here to submit a proposal and be sure to read all the instructions carefully before starting your submission.

Interested in being a panelist in a session someone else leads? Click here to give us some information about your expertise, and if you match with a proposal that needs panelists, we will make the connection.

The deadline for all submissions is October 19, 2018. If you have any questions, please contact Lindsay Schuenke at [email protected].

All ICBI33 events will be held at the Hilton Minneapolis, which is located in the heart of the downtown area and linked via skyway to dining, shopping, and entertainment. The InBIA group rate is $179 (plus tax) for a single or a double room, and it is available until March 16. The reservations link will be available soon.

The conference hotel is 12 miles from the airport – about a 20 minute ride. There is a SuperShuttle service to the Hilton Minneapolis for $17 each way. A taxi costs about $40. Click here for the hotel information on transportation.

InBIA has partnered with Delta Airlines to provide discounted rates to/from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for ICBI33. Make your reservations by going to www.delta.com/meeting or by calling the Delta Meeting Network Reservations at 800-328-1111. Use the InBIA meeting code NMSAZ.
