Privacy Statement and Terms of Use

This page states the Terms of Use ("Terms") under which You may use www.inbia.org, an online association management services portal and guide. Please read these Terms carefully. If You do not accept the Terms stated here, do not use www.inbia.org, and its services. By using www.inbia.org, You agree to be bound by these Terms, including the www.inbia.org Privacy Statement. 

The Privacy Statement sets forth the online data collection and usage policies and practices that apply to www.inbia.org and do not apply to information we collect in any other fashion. 

Access to the online InBIA Member Directory is restricted to members of the InBIA. Use of the online InBIA Member Directory indicates your acceptance of the following terms of use:

  • InBIA provides online access to its proprietary InBIA Member Directory in the members-only section of the InBIA website as a member benefit for locating current InBIA members for individual non-commercial and confidential use. Use of Directory information for commercial, political, or promotional (marketing and sales) purposes is strictly prohibited. Except for the user's personal reference, the contents of the online InBIA Member Directory may not, in whole or in part, be reproduced, copied, disseminated, or entered into a computer database in connection with a mailing list by any means.


1. Collection of Information by www.inbia.org 

By using www.inbia.org, we may request that you provide personal information, including your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and other generalized background information. Moreover, there is information about your computer hardware and software that is or may be collected by us. This information can include without limitation your IP address, browser type, domain names, access time, and referring website addresses, but is not linked to your personal information. We also get information from your use of our services including how you use them. Regarding IP Address and Clickstream Data, our server automatically collects data about your server's Internet address when you visit us. When you request pages from our website, our servers may log your IP Address and sometimes your domain name. Your IP Address is used to help identify you and gather demographic information about our customers but does not include personally identifiable information. Our server may also record the referring page that linked you to us (e.g., another website or a search engine); the portions of www.inbia.org you visited; any search terms you have entered on www.inbia.org, or a referral site; and other web usage activity and data logged by our web servers.

2. Our Use of Your Information

We use the information we gather on www.inbia.org, whether personal, demographic, collective, or technical, to operate and improve www.inbia.org, fostering a positive user experience, and delivering the products and services that we offer. We may use your contact information to send you emails or other communications regarding updates at www.inbia.org. The nature and frequency of these messages will vary depending on the information we have about you. We may employ Internet tracking and analytic tools such as Google Analytics to better understand and deliver a user experience. We also use the information that we gather for internal system administration, to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. Such information may also be used to gather demographic information, such as country of origin and Internet Service Provider. We may link this information with your Personal Information.

We do not disclose your personal information to third parties, or your combined personal and demographic information or information about your use of www.inbia.org, except as follows; We disclose information to companies and individuals we employ to perform functions on our behalf, including hosting our Web servers, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, and providing customer service. 4. Use of Cookies and Local Storage

www.inbia.org may contain electronic images known as Web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) that allow us to count users who have visited those pages. Web beacons are not used to access your personally identifiable information; they are a technique we use to compile aggregated statistics about our Web site usage. Web beacons collect only a limited set of information including a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the Web beacon resides. Members cannot opt out of service announcements, which contain important information about InBIA’s member and web services. We communicate with users to provide requested services and regarding issues relating to their account via e-mail or phone.www.inbia.org may provide account holders limited access to or the ability to modify their personal information. Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request. 

If you are receiving newsletters, commercial emails, or other communications from www.inbia.org, but subsequently change your mind or cancel your membership, you may opt-out by selecting an appropriate link in those email communications as indicated by our email provider. We retain all the information we gather about you to make your repeat use of www.inbia.org more efficient, practical, and relevant. We restrict access to personal information to www.inbia.org employees, contractors, and agents who need to know that information to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

7. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older, or the age of majority as that is defined in your jurisdiction, whichever is older, to visit or use www.inbia.org in any manner. By visiting  www.inbia.org or accepting these Terms, You represent and warrant to www.inbia.org that You have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction and that You have the right, authority, and capacity to agree to and abide by these Terms. The www.inbia.org is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

8. Changes to the Privacy Statement

If we decide to materially change our Privacy Policy for www.inbia.org, we will post those changes through a prominent notice on the website so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and to whom we will disclose it.   • Upload information that contains material protected by intellectual property laws, including without limitation material protected by patent, copyright, trademark, or trade secrets, or by rights of privacy of publicity unless You own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents

  • Falsify or delete author attributions, legal or other proper notices, or proprietary designations indicating the origin or source of information that is uploaded or downloaded from InBIA's Web Site

  • Send, publish, post, upload, distribute, or disseminate any inappropriate, threatening, abusive, profane, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, or otherwise objectionable materials, or any materials that encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or violate any law, or contain any advertising or any solicitation concerning products or services

  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or otherwise violate any legal rights of others

  • Upload viruses, corrupted files, or any other software or information that may damage the operation of another's computer or network

  • Use InBIA's Web Site for commercial purposes, including, but not limited to, advertisements, promotions, offers to buy or sell goods or services, surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, or sponsorship banners

  • Permit anyone other than Yourself to use Your InBIA Member information to access any portions of InBIA's Web Site which are restricted to Members only

  • Forward any portions of InBIA's Web Site which are restricted to Members to anyone who is not a Member of InBIA

  • Violate any of InBIA's policies, guidelines or other codes of conduct which are applicable to InBIA's Web Site or in particular to one of InBIA's Web Services. Reproduce, re-transmit or re-present in any form, in whole or in part, any content, programming code, images or graphics without express written permission of InBIA

  • Frame, squeeze back, overlay or employ other techniques to enclose or display the InBIA E-mail lists, or any trademark, logo, content or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form) included on the InBIA E-mail Lists, with any other software or content of a third party.

  • Without limiting the generality of the other restrictions set forth herein, access, monitor or copy any content or information of this Web Site using any "robot", "spider", "deep link", "scraper" or other automated means, methodology, algorithm or device or any manual process for any purpose

  • InBIA reserves the right to review information or materials posted to InBIA's Web Site, to remove any such information or materials in its sole discretion, and to use any other forms of information available to us by virtue of Your use of InBIA's Web Site. InBIA reserves the right at all times, in its sole discretion, to refuse to post, delete, move, edit or to remove any information or materials from InBIA's Web Site, including without limitation any information or materials posted through use of InBIA's Web Services, regardless of whether such material does or does not violate this Agreement or any of InBIA's policies, guidelines, or other codes of conduct which apply to InBIA's Web Site or in particular to one of InBIA's Web Services.

11. Intellectual Property

Users of InBIA’s Member Directory should be aware that InBIA has exclusive rights and privileges in and to the copyright of the Member Directory. It is protected by U.S. Copyright laws and international treaty provisions and must be treated like any other copyrighted material. Use of the material contained in the Member Directory is solely intended for the individual and private use of the User. InBIA grants you a license to use the material contained in the Member Directory solely for your own private, non-commercial purposes. You agree that you will not download, rent, lease, sell, distribute, transmit, or otherwise transfer all or any portions of the content of the Member Directory or otherwise take any other action in violation of InBIA’s copyright OTHER THAN THOSE EXPRESSLY AUTHORIZED BY InBIA including, but not limited to, use or transmission of data for solicitation and /or commercial purposes. www.inbia.org's Ownership Rights. www.inbia.org and its licensors own all right, title and interest, including without limitation all worldwide intellectual property rights in the www.inbia.org Products and Services, and all such rights to all derivative works or enhancements of, in and to, or relating to, the www.inbia.org Products and Services. By entering into this Agreement or by using www.inbia.org You will not acquire any intellectual property or similar rights in the www.inbia.org Products or Services other than a limited right to use the Products or Services for Your personal benefit.

www.inbia.org acts as a venue for online association management services portal and guide. www.inbia.org may take any action concerning Content that it deems necessary or appropriate in its sole discretion if it believes that such Content could create liability for [InsertDomain.com], damage InBIA's brand or public image, or cause  InBIA to lose (in whole or in part) the services of its ISPs or other suppliers. While  InBIA reserves the right in its sole discretion to remove Content or other material from www.inbia.org from time to time, www.inbia.org does not assume any obligation to do so and disclaims any liability for failing to take any such action.

17. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InBIA, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from (i) any Content or other material You provide to any www.inbia.org  Site, or (ii) your breach of the terms of these Terms. www.inbia.org shall provide notice to You promptly of any such claim, suit, or proceeding.

18. Termination

InBIA reserves the right in its sole discretion to terminate Your access to InBIA's Web Site, including without limitation its Web Services, at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever. Provisions of this Agreement which by their nature are intended to survive termination or expiration of this Agreement will survive any termination of this Agreement, including but not limited to the representations and warranties contained herein.

19. Local Standards

We do not represent that materials on the www.inbia.org site are appropriate for use in all locations. Persons who choose to access the  www.inbia.orgsite do so on their own initiative, and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
